ملخص"Enteroaggregative E. coli (EAEC) are important intestinal pathogens causing acute and persistent diarrheal illness . EAEC can bind to jejunal, ileal and colonic epitheliumin, the characteristic aggregative pattern act to forming a strong biofilm in a mucus layer followed by cytotoxic and pro-inflammatory effects. There are five stages of pathogenesis of EAEC. EAEC was significantly associated with acute diarrhea in children and EAEC statistically associated with acute and persistent diarrhea in developed and developing countries.There is no evidence for an animal reservoir of EAEC; therefore, humans are generally accepted as the reservoir."
