The opening of the Al-Rashid University College Champions Shield Championship with a distinguished sports festival Al-Rashid University College opened the “Al-Rashid University College Champions Shield Tournament,” the annual sports festival held under the patronage of the Dean of the College, and organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, headed by Dr. Hussein Habib. The tournament is managed by Professor Raed Fakhri, with the assistance of Dr. Majid Amin, and witnesses wide participation from the college’s departments, with 16 competitive departments participating in it.

The opening match was held between the (Arabic Language) Department and the (Physical Education and Sports Sciences) Department at the college stadium, and ended with the victory of the Physical Education and Sports Sciences Department amid an enthusiastic atmosphere and great encouragement from the attendees.  
This tournament reflects the spirit of competition and sporting creativity among students, and is part of a series of events through which the college seeks to enhance student activities and build an integrated generation scientifically and athletically.
