ملخصVitamin D deficiency has a significant and primarily inverse relationship with parathyroid hormone (PTH). When vitamin D levels are low, the body is unable to absorb sufficient calcium from the intestines, triggering the parathyroid glands to increase PTH secretion to maintain calcium homeostasis.
